Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes, I do. Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know each other and often helps you to be more relaxed and confident for your couple portraits on your wedding day. Please get in touch for more information.

What area do you cover and how far do you travel?

I mainly cover Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire but I am happy to travel further if required. My wedding packages include 50 miles of travel and we can agree additional travel expenses if necessary.

Do we need to feed you?

Yes please. If you book me for 6 hours or more I will need a meal. You venue/caterers will advise you on this but photographers and other suppliers are usually fed while you are eating, either before or after the speeches.

How do I book you?

Initially, please contact me for a chat and then we can arrange to meet in person. I can show you examples of my work, albums and product samples, and you can tell me all about you. I love a proposal story!
A non-refundable booking fee of £350 is required to secure your date, along with a signed contract, with the remaining balance due 30 days before your wedding date. 

When / how can we view our pictures?

Your pictures will be available to view in a password protected online gallery 4-10 weeks after your wedding. I will email you with the password as soon as they are ready.

How many pictures will be in our gallery?

This depends on how long you hire me for. I aim to provide a minimum of 400 pictures from a 9 hour wedding but it's usually many more.

Can our pictures be in colour and black and white?

Yes, I will provide all your pictures in both colour and black and white. Some pictures work better than others in black and white but it's often a personal preference so I convert them all to let you decide. 

How do we pay you?

You can pay your invoice online with any major debit/credit card or PayPal just follow the instructions on your invoice. I also accept BACS and cheque payments - payee details will be on your invoice.

Do you have samples of the products you supply?

Yes, I have samples of all my products - prints, canvases, acrylics, albums and a selection of frames and mounts. I can easily obtain a sample of anything you would like to see that I don't have.

How long until I can get hard copies of photos from the session?

Depending on what you order, printed products are usually delivered within 7-10 working days of ordering, albums can take up to six weeks due to the design, approval and manufacturing process.

Can my guests order prints?

Absolutely, they can order prints directly from your gallery. 

What is the difference between screen and print resolution?

Screen resolution images are processed specifically to look great on social media, phones and tablets and digital photo frames. They are small files so they upload quickly and do not take up much storage space - they do not contain enough data for a satisfactory print.

Print resolution images have been processed for printing. The files are large and a high resolution enabling you to print them at any size you require. 

Do you edit all the photos?

Yes. All my photos are individually hand processed in the digital darkroom, retouched and edited.

What happens if your camera breaks or there is a technical issue resulting in the loss of our photos?

I won't lose your photos. I work with two professional Nikon cameras and a selection of the latest, high-quality Nikon lenses. If one camera were to break, I would simply carry on with the other. I also have a third camera in my bag just in case! Both my cameras hold two memory cards each and store your pictures on both cards simultaneously, in the unlikely event that one card fails I have the other as back-up.  After your wedding I have a robust back-up system to store your pictures both locally and securely online. 

What happens if we lose our photos?

I will keep your photos for three years but I urge you to back them up as soon as you receive your USB. I can advise you on the best way to do this if necessary.

What happens if you are ill or can't make it on our wedding day?

Something extremely serious would have to have happened for me to miss your wedding! However, if it were to happen, I (or my grief-stricken husband!) would find you a suitable replacement, or a selection of replacements for you to choose from if time allowed. I can access a large network of excellent and trusted photographers for assistance if necessary.

Are you insured?

Yes, of course. I have full third party liability and professional indemnity insurance. I am happy to provide a copy of my insurance certificate if you would like.
