The What, Where & Whys

of My Wedding Photography

You’re engaged! Congratulations. If you’re looking for photographers, I’m going to guess that you’re working steadily through your to-do list like the diligent bride-or-groom-to-be that you are and are looking for a few excellent reasons to book me for your big day. Allow me to oblige…

I’m great at what I do

Check out my portfolio for proof, but my wedding photography works with a soft, delicate palette for a lovely, romantic vibe.

I love what I do

Your wedding photographs are extremely important to me. When you ask me to be part of your day, I take major joy in being a reliable, creative member of your bridal team.

I’ll keep things low-key

I’m not a flashy, look-at-me photographer. I’m kind of quiet and like to work in the background of your big day, just quietly.

"our photos are amazing. kate felt more like a guest than a photographer and i was so grateful for all her reassurance and calming."

Other things that you might want to book in:

You might feel like a couples’ shoot isn’t really for you, there’s already so much to pay for when it comes to weddings and they can feel like an unnecessary expense. But a couples’ shoot (or an engagement shoot, they’re the same thing) can be a wonderful way of easing into the big day, especially if you don’t really like having your photo taken.

The more used to me and my camera you get, the better the photos on the day. It can also be a lovely opportunity to have a few relaxed, low-key shots before the formality of a wedding day.

We can travel to a local beauty spot, or somewhere meaningful to you two and just have a wander around, see where the day takes us.

If you’re after an album (and what better way to remember your day?), then I offer some incredible ones. I also offer gorgeous wall art that look amazing in your home or make brilliant Christmas gifts for parents. My albums and artwork are produced by two small British businesses who I know and trust, and who offer the exceptional service, quality and value that I look for.

There’s no pressure to purchase albums or artwork, of course. And my door is always open. If a year or so after your wedding you feel that an album would be a good thing to invest in, just give me a call.

A stunning, handcrafted wedding album is like a time capsule for your children and their children after them.

No matter how many times you back-up your photos or trust the Cloud, there’s no substitute for printed photos that you can hold in your hands. They stand the test of time.

"to say photographed is an understatement. kate captured the day, all of it perfectly. while seeming almost invisible she took fantastic photographs. it was a wonderful day and kate has given me something very special to remember it by."
